Batery Replce Video

Very good and useful video. Thank you.

You will also see a 2013 Battery replacement video on YouTube. Not fun. When working on the car, Ford says remove negative battery terminal first. Looks impossible to get to without a lot of work. The positive terminal looks accessible. Probably OK for jump starting.

Does Ford also recommend replacing the battery this way? Or do you need to take the cowl cover and windshield wipers off?

This comes down to how they bill labor

Good job my friend, I knew it couldn't take 30 minutes to change it, I wonder if Ford dealers will adjust there fee for service when replacing the filter or go by book value?????????
if their smallest hourly billing is 1/2 hour the charge will stay the same.
If they bill in full hour increments then you may be able to negotiate.

I saw this on facebook and had to post here. Just a friendly reminder, lots of places will ignore the cabin air filter just because it doesn't affect safety or performance of a vehicle and most people don't want to invest in that because of it. Check out this filter.

To the top, with kudos to @firepit1x for a great video to make this chore a snap.

"get mean with it" ..... Lol, you're exactly right and it works fine, Thank You !

Did mine last week. With the shortcut, 5 min tops. Was quite dirty at 25k, even though I usually run recirc.

Awesome vid......saw the glovebox removal procedure and could feel my blood pressure rise! I credit the video with my now lower numbers!

Now if there was a convenient parts store that stocked the filter....and engine air filter too......

Go with the Motorcraft, the aftermarket ones typically don't have the foam frame (cabin) and don't always fit as well.

Michigan doesn't have any Ford dealers? ;)

Amazon Prime or Rock Auto.

I was surprised at how dirty my filter was after 27K miles.

No reason to ever pay someone to replace either air filter-cabin or engine.

Thanks again for the video! It made it so easy. Only issue I had was fiddling the cover back completely. But I did it all without a light...
:)
