The 2017 Escape that I purchased this month included the Collision Warning System option, a feature I really wanted in my next vehicle.
Based on the information about the system in the manual (page 193) I was under the assumption that I would have a graphical display come up with distance warnings. I have done a number of tests and the only warning I ever get is the heads up display red lights and a Collision Warning in the center of the dash that would be far to late to avoid a collision. I have the system set to the highest sensitivity.
Attached are how it should display and work (according to the manual). Any insight would be great.
