stopped by dealer to find out more details and learned it will take a week to perform fully and due to the metallic paint on mine it will require painting the whole left side, from front fender, both left doors and the rear left side so the color and flake will match.

Good luck. My dealer has been giving me the parts are on order for the last month.

I had my front door check arm well repaired on Tuesday. Both doors passed inspection, so the rivet kit was applied to both doors. They hid the rivets under the door panels so I can't
see them unless I push on the panel. Two pictures below show the repair on the driver's door. The passenger door looks the same. I am very satisfied with the repair.

LOL. That is exactly how mine looks on my 20 Titanium after the repair. Post #70. At first glance I thought your pictures where my car since same color. I also was very happy with how the repair was completed.

Does anyone know if this has been fixed in the 2023 or 2024 Escapes? I'm a little leery of my 2021 Escape Hybrid SE since it is affected by the engine recall and I don't think Ford will ever actually fix the problem. So I am thinking of trading my 2021 in on a 2024, but don't want to wind up with another problem car.
No, I got the letter for my 2023 Escape PHEV. It took a while to schedule the dealer visit (they said they only get a few kits a month). Had it in last week for the appointment. They do some sort of "stress test" (which my Escape apparently passed) and then install the weld reinforcement. My Escape was in for a few hours, but I don't know how long it actually took.

dropped mine off monday and to my surprise the loaner is a brand new f150 crew cab FX4 4X4
I dropped my off last week Tuesday. Yes my loaner is a NEW F-150 XLT. Had 14 miles on it when I left the shop. They called me yesterday to tell me my door has a crack, and I need a replacement door. They only do it a Ford body shop and I will have to take it to a different Ford Service center. He told me that there is a back log of up to three months for a replacement door. Had several other things done two Recalls and three TSB. I should get it back Friday and then I need to go get in line at a different place for the replacement door exchange under the CSP23B56.

A notice about the above just showed up on my FordPass for my 2021 Escape Hybrid. I presume this is a fix for the previously reported weld breaks on the door.
I did a bit of research and found some reports that the fix may be a reinforcement but some repairs required replacing the entire door. Does anyone have an idea what is involved in this campaign? Will Ford only fix broken vehicles? Or will whatever fix be applied to all cars? Is there a time/mileage limit after which no repairs will be made? My car was bought in September 2021 and has about 30,000 miles on it. I don't notice anything wrong with the doors now and would prefer that the dealer not mess with the car unless it needs it, but I don't want it to happen someday and have no recourse.

So frustrating.... I think this is the fourth recall/issue with this car so far, and I'm still waiting to hear if Ford is going to do anything about the chrome strip on the window switches flaking off on the 2021s.
Just had the door reinforcement done last week. My doors were just fine, but I wanted to get it done before I trade it in.

About a year ago, I took it in to have the drain tube installed ( for the possible fuel leak) and they voluntarily replaced the window switches.

I have the tech's installation instructions on the door reinforcement repair if anyone wants it. Just gotta figure out how to post a PDF here.

well mine was supposed to have been done monday but I did not receive a call so I contacted them this morning, and the replacement door that was supposed to be there and Ford claims was sent is nowhere to be found! she is waiting on a call back from Ford and is hoping to have a replacement for the replacement door soon. the reinforcement kit has been installed in the passenger door and that part is done.

The second dealer now has my car 2020 Titanium, for 18 days. door will be replace and the left side of the car will be repainted. Even with push from Ford this is a terribly slow process.
Though the second dealer has provided a loaner from day one and the communication with the dealer has been good. So, waiting...đźš•
