I am trying to program a second key fob and have tried four methods, but have not been able to get the Escape in programming mode.
2014 Escape SE, 1.6 EcoBoost, I have the factory key/fob that came with car and a fob that I am trying to program for the 2014 from my 2011 Escape that I sold. I looked up fobs on the internet and it showed the 2005, 2011, and 2014 all use the same fob. (I also own a 2005 Escape and it is the same number as the 2011 fob)
I have programmed many key fobs. The problem is getting into programming. These are the methods I have tried:
1) Close doors, turning key 8 times (10 seconds), last turn left on position, push each remote after locks cycle
2) Close doors, then driver door opened, unlock button on drivers door pushed, then as above in #1
3 Close doors, driver door is not opened, unlock button on drivers door pushed, then as above in #1
4) Fasten seat belt, close all doors, turn key 4 times (3 seconds) ending in OFF, system will chime, then push each remote
I read something about special programming for the new Escapes
Thanks for you time :|
