Hi all,
I narrowed down all noises that bother me, either by finding these fixes here or elsewhere or myself.

So lets get started and if you have one you would like me to add to the begging of this thread just post it here or a link and I will add it to this list.

1. Under the seat heater ducts = add soft foam to the front and rear of each duct driver and passenger.

2. Center dash = add felt as shown in pictures (note my 2017 SE only shows a little of this issue most likely due to my titanium having 19" wheels, I still have to lower tire pressure by 2 or 4 lbs) see picture

3. Rear seat belt locks = add felt to the noise areas as seen in pictures, and to plates if needed that cause noise.

4. Rear seat protectors = fold down the seats and pull straight up on that protector with flaps, add felt to the metal facing the front of the vehicle (its real name might not be called this)

5. Stuff felt where needed under the outside of the window trim with plastic door removal tools or like.

6. Lube with white lithium spray grease (still looking for something better) the tiny whole in the front corner of the door that rattles, see pictures and 2nd post on this.

7. Add felt to the Panorama Roof see link for info 3rd post down.

To all that need pictures.....
I am sorry but at the time I created this thread I was unable or this site did not allow pictures stored, so I had to use and off picture site that seemed to go south or dumped my pictures due to no activity.
I can not find any of the pictures so far, I also thought the picture site would hold them as I was using them for years.
I had some major changes in my life and there was a good 2-3 years of me off most internet sites.

If the description in my posts here does not help without pictures please post where your noise is coming from and i and others will try to help.
Thank you for your understanding

Good day!

I have had my escape for two years now. Have not had any issues with it until recently.
1. I have a squeak in my back seat area. I'm not sure if it is from the seats or the door I put my seats down and the squeak is not as bad but is still there. It almost sounds like a loose bolt or something. Any ideas? I have torn the lift gate apart to see if that was it. There was some loose things in there but did not fix my issue.

Let me know what ideas you have.

Hi
I would first start with the plastic protector under the car, make sure it’s secure and tap on it, if you hear a noise from the tap (basically the plastic hitting metal) then either apply felt or silicone to the areas, you will need to drop the plastic a bit, and be careful with the plugs

second it could the from the sun roof, do you have a sunroof ? If so please read this thread and others have pointed out the fix as I think I did in the first post

third , tap the plastic on the lower outside of the passenger door and where it hits, apply a dot of silicone

fourth, the vent under the passenger and driver seat, apply a soft like seat cushion foam all around the vents to hold them in place.

Fifth , look for bad welds on the inside passenger door, apply silicone to these open areas and not the drain holes at the bottom inside of the doors

I had all of these with mine and a few more
Mine is still quite to this day

also make sure whatever you have in the glove box and center console is not causing it.
Good luck

I thought it was only me!

Bought my 17 SE in Aug 20, so about 3 months ago. 35K miles currently. My commute is about 8 miles, 6 of that highway speeds. 2.0, 4wd with Pano.

I work shifts, so it's not uncommon for me to be driving home at 1 or 2 am, open road with no traffic. About a month ago I started hearing a few things:

-Passenger front door. It honestly sounded like the seatbelt strap was hanging out of the door. Like a slapping noise. It wasn't loud, but constant. Only heard it once or twice, but concerning none the less.
  • Passenger A pillar speaker. I don't listen to loud music, but my favorite XM channel is classic hip hop and I can hear that speaker rattle a bit with bass heavy songs. Speaker or screw?
  • Cargo area. Turned out to be my golf clubs chattering. Lol. Hollow Pings chatter loud.
  • Not a rattle, but I learned never roll the rear windows down at highway speed without some form of additional venting. I thought my sunroof was going to blow out.

Thanks to all. There is a large piece of plastic, 1 on each of drivers side/passenger side on the bottom of car. The passenger side one was loose, hanging from 1 side just a little. i pushed it up and it snapped back into place No rattle going home or in this morning. I guess these are protective to keep road items from getting up into car from beneath.

The A pillar speakers are tweeters and the same ones are used on multiple models, they literally just snap into a set of mounting clips. Last time I bought a new one it was ~$7 USD.
The noise from the rear windows is referred to a helicoptering and it's due to the body design, it's not a sunroof problem.

This is one of the plastic panels under the vehicle that seems to rattle mostly for people if the clips get loose. Should replace the clips.

None of these pictures above are viewable. They would be very helpful to me if they were. Is there anyway to get these working?

I have a rattle in the center dash. I don’t see a picture as you referenced above (heat ducts or...?). I have a 2017 SE
Thank you for the help with this (I just bought it and love it but hate rattles)!
